Name of the Student Body ‘SAARCH Association of Students’
A Meeting was held on 06th of August 2009 in Colombo, Sri Lanka at Renuka Hotel, Colombo 03 for formation of
SAARCH Students Body. The meeting was chaired by Archt. Jayantha Perera, Chairman, South Asian Association
for Regional Cooperation of Architects (SAARCH). Around 14 Guests, Invitees, Representatives from Sri Lanka,
Pakistan Nepal and India participated. 03 Students from CSA, 06 students from UOM and 15 students from the
said countries also participated.
The Meeting was followed by a Students Workshop conducted by Archt. D. P. Chandrasekera. Ar. Karan Grover
presented 50 years of NASA, India operation as a case study. Each Country representative and students aired their
ideas, queries and Proposals for the formulating of the Student Body. Please see the Online Album
